A Navy Blue Winter

Since trying to dye my hair silver/grey was an absolute joke, I’ve come to realise that I need to accept my very dark hair and run with it. Still wanting some change in my life I’ve found the next best thing that my beautiful friend, Jenni Smit, is going to help me with. She works at Ska on Kloof Street and was recently voted the 9^th best hairdresser in Cape Town. A well-deserved award. So she is going to be doing my hair navy blue in the next few weeks for my winter look. I’m so excited! Will keep you posted!!

Black Lipstick

This is such a hard thing to pull off, but if you can manage it, it looks STUNNING. I’ve never tried black lipstick but I think having lighter hair seems to be an easy way of making this look less gothic. Unfortunately for me my hair is as dark as the night :P I think the second solution is lighter clothing. Mixing black lipstick with a white or pastel outfit can give a very ethereal look.

Love this last look, its very casual and easy to recreate.

I think I’m going to try this soon.

The Olsen's - Winter Trend

This has got to be one of my favourite Olsen looks; they really just pull it off so well. I have really grown to love maxi skirts and dresses and have been keeping my eye out on any way to transition them into my winter wardrobe. The first thing I noticed is that they don’t work too well with a full length cardie, you need something cropped to your waist. But this is the ultimate winter maxi look – fur stole/jacket, maxi dress, stockings, booties. How glam and elegant.

Isn’t it divine. Here are a few other ways you can add some furriness to your winter maxi dress.

       For a slightly edgier look add some leather and some studded boots. LOVE this too :)

Wedge Sneakers

Theres something about these babies thats making me want them. Im not usually a sporty type but I really like the edge these add to an outfit. I first saw them on blogger ,Victoria Tornegren. She wears them so well showing off her classic black and white sporty style. I would wear them with a skirt as first option to add a slight femininity to my outfit or black leggings, a white sheer blouse and a cross necklace as second option.
